This week we have been revising our ‘words of the week’ that have been gradually introduced since September. P2 then made their own independent sentences using as least one of the HFWs… 👀 …. Great progress P2! 👏👏👏

Owl Babies

Together we read the book ‘Owl Babies’. The pupils empathised with the baby owls and discussed how they would have felt being left alone without their Mummy. They came up with lots of great ideas which they used to write ‘ owl’ speech bubbles… 👀 Great work P2! 🙌

We read the story as a whole class and discussed the noises that kept Mr Bear awake. The children then attempted to sequence the story correctly and write about their favourite part of the story. For the plenary of our lesson the children recounted the main events of the story aloud in front of the class. Fantastic work P2! 👏👏👏

We have been doing a lot of practical activities to focus of letter recognition and formation. Today we used paint and earbuds to form the letters. The concentration on their wee faces was priceless. P2 worked so hard on this challenge and produced some super work!
