An Overview of our School Rules We love our pupils encouraging each other to follow our school rules. It is important for our pupils, parents and staff to know what is expected of our pupils in school. Our rules are outlined below:
Attendance and Punctuality • Doors open in the morning at 8.45am & pupils must be in class by 9am. • Attendance & punctuality is monitored. Good attendance & punctuality is encouraged. • Absences must be explained with a note signed by a parent or by a medical certificate. Dress and Possessions • Pupils are expected to wear the appropriate school uniform every day. Full Uniform must be worn and PE Uniform on PE Days. • All clothing must be clearly marked with the owner's name. • Outdoor coats etc. must be left in the cloakrooms or the peg areas assigned to each class. • All pupils must have a school bag. Books should not be defaced in any way. • Expensive toys, jewellery, necklaces, bracelets and other valuables should not be brought to school.
• Pupils’ should not bring money to school. School meals & Trips etc paid via School Money App. Permission to Leave School • Permission to leave school for an appointment with a doctor, dentist, hospital or health centre is granted and parents / guardians must sign the Book at Reception and give a valid reason. • Parents taking children out of school during school must sign the children out with a valid reason. • Pupils are not allowed to leave school premises at any time without permission.
Movement around the School • Pupils should enter the school at the identified Pupils' Entrance as outlined by their teacher. • Once inside school in the morning, pupils must hang up their coats and bags in the cloakroom and then go to their class and prepare for the day ahead. • Pupils must walk quietly and respectfully on the left in the corridors and not run at any time.
Before School - Break Time - Lunch Time - After School • Our School is a Healthy Eating School - morning break is a Healthy Break. Lunches should be as healthy as possible with a little treat included. • Bicycles, scooters etc should be parked in the Bicycle Rack to the front of school. Electric Vehicles e.g. Scooters are not permitted onsite and should not be driven by pupils inside the school grounds. • Pupils must play in the playground allocated to their particular class under supervision assigned. • Pupils must not bring drinks glass bottles or cans into school. • Only pupils who have presented a note will be allowed to remain indoors during Break times. • Pupils must endeavour to keep the school free of litter. • A high standard of behaviour is expected from the pupils at all times going to and from school and when representing our school on trips and at events outside of school.
A simple rule we use in school is: “Keep our hands, feet, unkind words and objects to ourselves” – this generally keeps pupils right!
