Welcome to St Nicholas' Primary School.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. The purpose of this website is to communicate with our present pupils and parents, our school community and parish, our prospective parents and to our wider audience both at home and abroad.
We provides a happy, challenging, busy and vibrant learning environment for all. Our shared goal is to provide a high quality educational experience for each individual child in our school community. We have a strong focus on improving literacy, numeracy and ICT skills of our pupils through exciting learning experiences. We have a strong team of teaching and support staff who alongside our parents are committed to making a difference to your child.
St. Nicholas' is family-centred, community focused primary school. We are extremely well equipped with the latest SMART Panels and Interactive Boards in every classroom. Pupils learn through the latest technology with iPads being used in every classroom.
Our extensive programme of extra-curricular activities develops both character and talent whilst community programmes for parents and grandparents are a regular feature. The very popular breakfast club is also offered to our pupils, parents, siblings and grandparents from 8.00am each morning.
We have worked hard to develop close links with the local community here in Ardglass and have strong links with Ardglass GAC. The children also receive Gaelic coaching from Down GAA and the IFA in KS1 and KS2.
If your child is ready to start primary school in September 2019 or are moving to our local area throughout the school year we are more than happy to show you around our fantastic school at a time that suits you. I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised with what we offer in our school for both your child and your family.
We have our Open Morning annually but if you would like to arrange a tour of our lovely school or to arrange a meeting I can be contacted by ringing school on 028 44 841343 or emailing me directly on email@example.com.
