Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Primary 1 & Pre-school Sept 2020 Admissions Update
This year due to the exceptional circumstances we find ourselves in with Covid-19 the Education Authority will be issuing letters to advise parents of their child's primary one application to be received next Wednesday. We will be also posting out letters to our successful applicants for receipt next Wednesday.
Hopefully the Royal Mail postal service is not affected and letters arrive at homes on Wednesday. Parents can access the EA Citizen Portal or email myself on kburns395@c2kni.net if any issues or concerns from next Wednesday.
Thanks

An Easter Message - Friday 10th April
I would like to ask everyone to take a well deserved break over Easter and our teachers will be back in touch with you from Monday 20th April. New Home Learning Packs for pupils can be collected on Wednesday 22nd April from 12 noon to 1pm.
Our teachers and staff have been working incredibly hard over the past weeks and hopefully we all appreciate the effort they have given to keep in touch with pupils, supporting learning at home and supporting our key workers with childcare provision in school.
Great work has been done at home to date and many thanks to our pupils, parents and guardians for sharing how the pupils have been getting on. We really loved the photos of the Easter Baking Challenge and of the fun activities and work pupils have been doing!
Easter is family time so relax, take a break at home from school work and look after each other. Please remember you can watch via webcam Fr McCloskey’s Easter Sunday Mass live at 11.30am on https://www.churchservices.tv/
Please stay safe & God bless.

Mr Burns’ Friday thoughts... 💭 💭
Morning everyone....This has been a really strange week for us all and we are now all realising that learning from home isn’t easy for parents or our pupils. In school, we would have Weekly Assembly usually today and reward good behaviour, work and manners etc. We pray together and highlight good things to look forward to in the week ahead.
We will hopefully all be back to normality soon.
Today, we can reflect on how this week has gone. Hopefully the Resource Packs & Online Resources on our School Website have helped focus our pupils’ young minds for a while each day. I know the good weather ☀️and opportunity to play sport ⚽️ and games 🤸have helped with ‘Brain Breaks’ in our own home🏠 !!!
Should pupils do Friday Tests??? 📝
Our Spellings and Quick Fire Maths Knowledge are important but so is our child’s self-esteem. If you test, please give them a chance of SUCCESS! Their self-confidence is so important so drop in a little PRAISE! Some pupils love the test and others do not. You may find a Friday Test keeps the kids focused during the week and if it’s proving too difficult then maybe just leave them!
✳️❇️✳️Friday=Funday✳️❇️✳️
Please remember it’s Friday & that’s pupils’ ‘Fun Day’ & don’t forget Golden Time. The sun is shining, take a deep breath, relax and enjoy the Weekend!
