  • 100th Day of School

    Fri 24 Feb 2017 MMcG

    💯th Day of School💯
Today the children celebrated 100 days of school and participated in lots of fun activities in their classroom. They also had a homework task to produce a 100 themed  Maths/Art Competition.

The entries from all children were amazing and looked wonderful around the school. It was a very difficult task for Mrs Dolan (Maths teacher from St Mary's HS involved in our KS2/3 Transition Programme) to judge our competition winners. The winners were: Daíthi, Ben, Amy, Lucy, Zuzia (absent), Marcus and Basil. Well done boys and girls. 👍

Thanks to all our hardworking children for completing the task and to all the parents who were involved with this also. Lastly, thanks to Mr McReynolds for coordinating and organising the day. He's produced an iMovie for you all to enjoy looking at the children's work. All work will be displayed around the school for another week. 💯💯

  • Safer Internet Play

    Wed 22 Feb 2017 MMcG

Children from P3-P7 watched a stage show about how to stay safe online.

They realised that each time they logged onto the Internet that they left a 'digital footprint' and that it wasn't cool to bully people online.

The children now know what to do if they see something online that they don't like, and know who to speak to if they need help. It was such an informative session.

    Confirmation for Primary 7 Pupils

Our pupils in P7 have been busy preparing for Confirmation which takes place next Tuesday at 11am at St Mary's Church Dunsford this year. (School will be open for all other pupils this year).

Pupils have been learning their prayers, songs and hymns and creating an Art Display over the past few weeks. They have also focused on letter writing as part of their Confirmation activities.

This morning they posted letters to their Sponsors inviting them to attend their special day and informing them of their important role in this celebration.

The pupils who walked down to the Post Office this morning got treated to a Hot Chocolate from Mr Burns for helping post the letters for the class.

Good luck everyone on your Confirmation Day!

  • After School Science Club

    🐣After School Science Club🐣

February is National Bird Feeding Month. Natural food sources such as insects are scarce, so homemade bird feeders are ideal for helping birds.

The KS1 children made some 'fat balls' in their after school club with Miss O'Neill and Mrs Taggart. They were excited about taking them home!

    🙏**Grandparents Assembly **🙏
We celebrated Catholic Schools Week in school and finished with our Grandparents Assembly. There was a fantastic turn out and the children enjoyed singing and performing in front their grandparents and families. We hope you had a good afternoon visiting the classes.
